For the first time in many, many years, Xin, Ming and I caught a movie together. It was a last minute decision, but we all managed to meet up for a midnight sneak movie screening of “Sunshine Cleaning” at VivoCity last Friday.
It was the perfect ending to a fruitful day – my last day of freedom, which started off with a shopping expedition to town, dinner with my aunts, and finally a movie date with my girls.

I think Emily Blunt is the cutest thing! Not your cookie cutter pretty girl next door, Emily has more of an offbeat and less mainstream beauty, which makes her all the more interesting. Plus, all the movies that I’ve seen of her has always been fun. Granted, “Sunshine Cleaning” is only the 4th movie of hers that I’ve seen, in addition to “The Devil Wears Prada“, “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “The Young Victoria“. Nonetheless, I think Emily is gorgeous, and totally kick ass! =)

An interesting and heartfelt movie with a tight storyline, the characters and their situations of “Sunshine Cleaning” were realistic, peppered with the highs and lows of sibling relationships. Little wonder the movie won over most of the movie critics, since I have yet to see a bad review of this indie piece.
Let me know if you’ve seen the movie, and what you think of it!
